What are some /his/-approved podcasts? I need something edifying for my morning commute.
Sorry if this isn't /his/ related enough.
The Great Courses
Bump for interest, and also, redpill me on Carlin's Hardcore History, please. Is it worth it?
Great Courses (From Yao to Mao is my personal favourite if you wanna learn some Chinese history), In Our Time, History of Rome. That's all I can think of right now excluding hardcore history.
In Our Time, History Extra, those are sorts of the must-haves
99% Invisible is what I want to shill though. It mainly focuses on design, but they are pretty heavy on history. They do these sort of niche stories, really great stories you can talk about later.
Here's a good introduction episode: (Starts at 1:20)

History of the Crusades is amazing but its like 300 episodes long or something. Goes into incredible detail. Surprised it isnt mentioned more on /his/
