Why are the american continents so ethnically non-diverse? Most recent human migrations so no time to become very different?
You can easily tell the difference between north and southeast asians, but it's hard to tell native americans apart. And even if there are easily noticeable differences and I'm just being dumb, old world races are a shit ton more diverse.

Yes.

Says who?
Before Columbus, there were 200+ languages spoken in North America, falling roughly into three language groups, each as different from the others and they all were from European languages.

Typo: "...as they all were from European languages"

The Americas were definitely culturally diverse, but OP is talking about genetic diversity.

Canada and the US are diverse countries, Brazil too.
Peru has incas, spaniards, lots of chinks and Japanese.
Argentina is full of amerindians and Europeans and orientals.
Then there's this study about Mexico

He's talking about diversity among native americans

OP started out saying "ethnically". Ethnicity is culture.
OP's second paragraph about telling them apart could refer to either genetically influenced outward appearance or culture.
In either case, an Inuit, Dine, Mohawk, Amazonian, and Andean can tell each other apart by sight at least as well as Norwegians and Arabs can.
Gee, OP, maybe it wouldn't be if over 90% of all native americans weren't wiped out.

Inuit and Mapuche have nothing in common, culturally and genetically.
Africa, despite common thought, is diverse as fuck.
So is America, the natives are all different from each other.

Less time for divergent evolution. We're talking a mere 12,000 years for the same people to turn different. That being said, I lived among Native Americans for most of my life and I can tell the two local tribes apart physically. One tribe were settled farmers of meso-american and maybe polynesian origin, the others came down from Canada and Alaska around 1,000 years ago.

This is so outdated it hurts.
>any southern race in Australasia
>related to Africans

because diversity is a cancer to every society it reaches

This was just based on facial features back in the day

If you can't tell a Cree from a Mayan from a Quechua then you're blind.
