>tfw no Mel Gibson movie about Joan of Arc, the Boer Wars, the Battle of Isandlwana, Dresden Bombing, the Amritsar massacre, the Mau Mau Uprising, the 1812 Massacre of Badajoz and the Great Potato Famine
Braveheart and The Patriot were so good, why did he stop?
He didn't direct The Patriot.
>>2291373
Lol no, Braveheart was shitty with historical inaccuracies and I haven't watched the Patriot.
He only creates these movies as violent thriller, no historical detail is paid any attention really.
>>2291384
Shit as it may be, the success of Braveheart is responsible for the revival of the historical epic as a genre.
>>2291373
Both those films are unhistorical as fuck, and they're also shit
>>2291384
The Patriot is also shit.
He creates these movies because he's a buttblasted Australian-American Catholic-fascist who's still angry that Britain went Protestant.
>>2291373
(((why))) indeed?
>>2291569
0/10 fucking neck yourself
He didn't make The Patriot, and it's a terrible movie
He did make Braveheart, Apocalytpo and Hacksaw Ridge more recently, which are all brilliant
>>2291373
Braveheart triggers Scots more than the English at this point.
>>2291595
>Brilliant
Nah, they weren't though
Apocalypto was great. We never get movies like that..
>>2291569
Lazy bait.

All I can think of now is Mel Gibson hibernating underground for the first 20 minutes of a movie, before British soldiers show up to massacre his potato wife and kids.
Also Mel in blackface.
