Not really, since just like it says on the tin it was a confederation of independent cantonments based on geography and economic interests.

Also to consider each canton had its own rulings, and quite often you'd see the cantons war each other throughout history

The oldest national state of europe is probably Portugal. They literally retained they're borders since the twelfth century.

it just depends on your definitions. if you're simply looking for a political entity representing the same identity or the same culture, you can look at Portugal, they exist for quite some time.
