I would wager anger over hatred. The two often coincide, but not necessarily, I think.

Personaly, I found boredom to be responsible for a good amount of bullshit in history.

yes it was criticaly important, calculated rattionalism as a basis of a culture and mentality is not the norm by far

Fear of social rejection. Humiliation has been described as the "nuclear bomb" of emotions and has played an overwhelming role in politics. No one is more violent than a man who is convinced his target is threatening his social status.
