Every modern tank has a large main gun, because it is the most effective, especially with modern stabilizers and optics giving you the abillity to snipe with large shells.
Also your concerns are irrelevant, the gun has barely any weight compared to the rest and those tanks are not designed to maneuver in trenches, so your "bump into things" concern is also stupid.

Only a faggot can not appreciate the destruction power of a redesigned 88 mounted on a tank.
