Which would you say?

Why are there so many conspiracies suggesting that rich people have actually run countries throughout history? What can a rich person actually do in the face of political power? A politically powerful person can have them murdered or their lives ruined through covert means.

Does this stem from the story about Rothschild lying about Napoleon winning Waterloo and buying up cheap stock before everyone found out the truth?

Money.

Bribery can get you all the political power you want.

Money and political power are both facets of the same, single, power: the ability to get people to do what you want them to do.
>>

Money.

I'm not sure why though, value and worth is a fucking meme.
>>
>>2173186
Clinton Foundation is point in case.
>>
Why didn't Obama or Hillary have Trump bumped off when he started shooting his mouth off years ago?
Why didn't Cameron do it to Farage (would have saved his country billions)?

Politicians in democracies are pretty weak, the con is them pretending they (therefore you, the electorate) have any meaningful power.
>>

Because everyone wants it and that's what really gives it value. If all the people in the world decided they didn't want money, bankers would be the poorest in the world.

Money might not buy concrete power, but it does buy you influence; which is what power is derived from. More over many people are willing to betray their political beliefs and the people they represent for money. So money won't get you the power to change a country, but it will buy you the control of politicians who can. This is soft power. Combine this with the growing intertwining of politics and global corporations and the abundance of lobbying and 'donations' and it becomes hard to tell where the dividing line between the two is.

Yes but that didn't win her the Presidency now did it.
>>
>>2173218
But it did, you're unaware that Clinton, Trump, and Putin are all working together in order to take over the free world. They've all got their own intentions, though, so don't expect this alliance to last. Donnie Boy won't serve a full 4 years, it's guaranteed.

Finally someone that understands the real deception.

Every player in the game was the same.

She certainly thought it would and that's part o0f what matters, the perception of the donors to her foundation that it would effect her decisions and if she was elected you bet it would. Shit would start falling apart real fast if she wasn't honoouring her implied obligations.

Nigga, just read The Prince.

>inb4 memes

It's the definitive treatise on power vs money, and how they work part in parcel. Don't be fuccbois just because it's a well known book.
>>
Money is a very good type of power.

So, power.
>>

>It's the definitive treatise on power vs money,

No it isn't, the Discourses on Livy is that.

Historically, money is worthless because it could not be traded directly for the needed resource.
Which is why loyal mercs has been a huge thing in history, and why shit tiers(such as Viking's as Vagarian guard) is often famed for reasons other than combat prowess.

Even today its not that useful. It can sorta be traded directly, but most of it will be indirectly.
Think North Korea: Can barter services for foreign currency, but can't spend that in the ways it want to.
And anything that applies to NORK and Money, also applies to non states using money: Barter is limited, and takes time.
Meanwhile any basic mob can theoretically sack a place, and then get sympathy into getting away with it.
