Britain had from 1815-1930 The Largest Navy on earth, larger than the next 2 combined. It's Naval ability was literally unmatched and could choke countries to death. (See germany in ww1). It had the largest steel production ON EARTH until 1912, and was the richest nation on earth until around 1900. It was a superpower.

Britain was NEVER a land power. it deliberately had one of the smallest armies in Europe as they did not generally fight wars in Europe and were isolationist.

By 1944, when Britain had mobilized an army, it made up 60% of troops in North africa and the western front.

France- Had to fight all of its neighbors
Dutch- Purely naval and colonial power
Prussians- Outlier and only significant example
England- Primarily Naval power until late 18th century, ez mode, few natural enemies
Austria- Had to fight Ottomans and France
Poland- Had to fight Ottomans, Russians and Swedes
Spain- Massively overextended itself
Portugal- Punched far above its weight for its population
