Can we stop circlejerking about how bad he is? He doesn't claim to be super in depth in his videos, they're literall called "crash courses" and are aimed at a younger audience.

Not the OP, but my problem with him is that he's not really teaching history. Not going into his historical inaccuracies, but his clearly bias viewpoints are as disingenuous as the historians of old that he criticises. At least Herodotus never pretended that he was being fair and balanced.

The issue isn't not being in-depth enough. Of course not. It's about the clear focus on pushing a narrative first and teaching history second. everyone's biases leak through a little, but he's only a notch or two below where you'd expect Soviet tier internal propaganda with how transparent he is and how far he's willing to stretch things.

I'm saying this as someone who generally likes him, despite flaws.
