between the spartacus uprising and the beer hall putsch and all the essentially gang battles between the brown shirts and communist and the Friekorps, it sounds pretty exciting to me

I hate to ask, but is there a mega archive of newspaper articles world wide somewhere? Like if you could get newspapers from 1932 and read about gangs and stuff. When I was a kid, newspapers were available on microfilm at libraries, but I live in America.

There was some ultra conservative (not the nazis) who tried to stage a coup in 1920 and it failed because the Weimer Republic worked with the socialist to stage a strike in the area they took over, then the socialist tried to take over the are and the government then had to send in the army and work with the Freikorps and brutally suppressed them in a battle that killed like 4000 people. 1920s Germany was Africa tier
