let me clarify that I want to talk about the various cultural, religious, and ethnic conflicts that happened and still happen because of the borders that are in place after the colonial powers marked them and left.
By the way didn't Rhodesia declare independence against the UK? Serves them right what happened to them after ... stranding yourselves with a bunch of angry natives that outnumber you 100 to 1 and not genociding them or keeping ties with your home government.
Because they have meme countries based on a legacy of Western exploitation meant to keep social stability through exploitation of sectarian tension. Basically, it's designed to not work so someone else, like a dictator or foreign power, can keep everyone bickering while they amass power for themselves.
