Also Celts had superior cavalry to the Romans. Caesar's cavalry was entirely made up of Gallic auxiliaries. The word 'cavalry' itself is of Gallic origin.

Celtic Cavalry was super fucking superior to *anything* Republican Rome had on horseback that after the full annexation of Gaul, they literally lifted anything the Celts know of cavalry into the late Republic/Empire. Prior to it, Roman cavalry was almost entirely of Celtic Auxiliaries rather than the Equites, who by this point were just a social class.
So much so that the Roman goddess for equestrianism became the Celtic Epona, replacing Neptune.
