Greece and Turkey weren't hostile to each other during that time though. Turkey threatened to invade Bulgaria if they joined the Italians with their invasion of Greece. Not only that but during the Great Famine when Greece was occupied by the Nazis, the Turks send food and supplies to the Greeks.
