who would win between Roman Empire and Aztec Empire?
romans are attacking and they are able to carry horses and siege weapons across the Atlantic
>>2036188
Rome because its' army is folds larger
>>2036188
Rome because
>roman rule
>stinking guals
Rome because metalworking
>>2036188
So it's aztecs versus romans with no cavalry to speak of
rome because iron
Rome for the same reasons the Spanish did: plague and rebellion.
>>2036227
>countering guerrilla
Why would it be guerrilla? The Aztecs were highly centralized and their neighbors resented them.
>>2036232
How come this never went the other way? With the Europeans contracting a bunch of American diseases?
Obviously not the same degree as the natives had no contact with Europe itself
>>2036227
>Romans sucked at countering guerrila
Are you fucking retarded?
>>2036236
Genetics, literally, there's a diverse spread of gene pools interacting with each other in the Eurasian continent so everyone becomes immune to a lot of things while the Americas were an allegorical safe space
One of the main theories for the origin of the black death is the Mongol incursion into Europe
>>2036236
>How come this never went the other way? With the Europeans contracting a bunch of American diseases?
actually it happened but spaniards had best doctors
romans medicine was way inferior than aztec one so romans would got decimated
>>2036243
yeah I'm retarded it went so GOOD against germans and parthians am I rite?
>>2036245
Yes, it did
>>2036245
What makes you think that the fucking Aztec mega-gore bureaucracy is in any way akin to the segmentary German or Parthian tribes
ur a plebbiter who prematurely feels like he can call others plebbiter
>>2036243
>Genetics, literally
yeah literally go back to /pol/ dude
>>2036252
>hurr durr because aztec bureaucracy they were unable at organizing an ambush or two in the jungle
welcome to /his/2.0 ladies and gentlemen
>>2036244
>actually it happened but spaniards had best doctors
No.
>>2036245
Marius genocided 5 out of the 11 Germanic tribes, so yes i'd say they did pretty well until they practically decided to just let them in.
>>2036188
Aztecs were cavemen tier, a more fair comparison would be Incas vs Romans.
>>2036272
nice source
>>2036243
Lol, the reason for plagues is not genetics. It´s because when people who crossed from Siberia to Americas found animals unused to a man (not scared of people). Instead of domesticating them, they ate them all, with the exception of lamas in south america.
Meanwhile in Europe, people domesticated their animals, cattle, pigs and various birds, and lived with them during the winter on a pretty small space.
Most of the diseases killing native americans were the diseases Europeans were used to due living in close proximity with their animals, something they couldnt do in America.
>>2036245
Yes.Germanicus literally genocided snowniggers.
>>2036236
Because they didn't have as many domesticated animals to get the diseases from.
In the old world you domesticated cows, over time diseases transmitted, it spread, immunities spread.
Then people who were carriers brought them over to america.
The aztecs hadn't domesticated animals to nearly the same extent
>>2036256
I think he's just retarded and confused genetics with biology and how immunization works
>>2036188
Dude the Aztec Empire was cucked by a handful of Spaniards. It wouldn't even be competitive.
>>2036188
Rome
>>2036221
>>2036223
>>2036232
this basically
>>2036227
Aztec didn't use guerilla, since they were not in the jungle like the Mayans
>>2036236
Because >>2036394 and you can literally google the answer ffs. Anyway, the new world only introduced syphillis, while the old world introduced:
typhus
measles
influenza
bubonic plague
cholera
malaria
mumps
yellow fever
pertussis (whooping cough)
>>2036244
even conquistadors themselves preferred Mesoamerican medics and Cortes himself told Charles V to not bring more since the local ones were as good as in Spain
Aztec cause Romans would all die off due to lack of ocean crossing tech and fall to scurvy/etc.
>>2036227
>romans sucked at countering guerrilla
You are silly. The romans, like other ancient empires were absolutely ruthless and indiscriminate in putting down insurgency.
The Jewish-Roman wars were many times greater than anything the aztecs could muster.
>>2037793
>The Jewish-Roman wars were many times greater than anything the aztecs could muster.
lmao
>>2036188

Rome they would do the exact same thing the Spanish did and use native allies
Logistics would be the deciding factor and youve given Rome a nonspecific and potentially unlimited capacity for transatlantic travel.
>>2036338
>nice source
Why do you think this is a valid thing to say? YOU made a statement with no source. Someone rightfully called bullshit. And now you're complaining that THAT had no source? How autistic do you have to be to not see the hypocrisy?
>>2037879
>70 years of continuous fighting
>an entire people wiped/enslaved/exiled
>millions dead in ancient fucking times
Yes you mong. And on top of that they were fighting in both organized and guerrilla combat with tech more advanced than a bunch of half naked jungle dwellers could even imagine.
The aztecs wouldn't stand a chance, dumb chicANO.
