Well it appears to be some sort of ornated horn because it has a mouthpiece for blowing. Also the structure and how it's carried implies that it is some sort of instrument. It might be related to olympic games or it might be even horn used in war for telling commands to man at arms.

Different cultures use horns for different things. If its not an instrument, then in the Caucasus they are often used a ceremonial drinking horns. You drink sweet wine out of them. Alternatively I've seen them used as gun powder flasks, but I would probably say thats a drinking horn.

I obviously meant the other end. I dont know about you, but im only seeing a picture of this thing. The "mouthpeice" looks pretty shitty and I cant see the opening so there might not be one. Given that the guy said it wasnt an instrument I assumed that was just an ornamental tip.
