Were Italian fascism and German Nazism as bad as eachother?
People today seem to dismiss fascism outright because of Hitler, but is there more merit to the original Italian version of the ideology?
For lots of people, if Mussolini wasn't associated with Hitler he'd be fine, and if Hitler wasn't racist and the Holocaust didn't happen he'd be fine. We call those people "liberals".
The "ideology" was very pragmatic and inconsistent. Mussolini and Hitler (and especially Mosley) would constantly write and proclaim contradictory policies depending on who they were trying to make happy. This ranged from the general public, conservatives, feminists, the army, liberals, land owners, farmers and workers.
Mussolini is sometimes painted as a bumbling idiot by English speaking who was 1) incompetent and 2) not as bad as Hitler because he was so incompetent.
Both are false though the second point is sort of true because more deaths were caused by Hitler. Truth is a lot of violence and death occurred under Mussolini from mass shootings of political enemies, the use of chemical weapons against Ethiopians, the constant thuggery against peasants undertaken by the squadristi.

Conservatives hated Hitler too and no, only Americans called them "liberals". Liberalism is an entirely different brand of politics altogether which has had its name ruined by America.
King of Italy, I'm March on Rome.

Mises liberals and Obama liberals are not as different as you would think, and both types of liberals often were big fans of Mozzarella.

What? Liberals hated Hitler.
Liberals know that they fucked up in creating WW1 and WW2

The common consensus of liberals are usually the ones a la John Locke, Edmund Burke. I'd also ask you'd elaborate on their similarities.
>and both types of liberals often were big fans of Mozzarella.
I don't see how when he stood for everything they didn't. Also prominent liberal politicians at the time like Facta, Nitti and Giolitti were intensely opposed to Mussolini but they just couldn't forge a coalition to stop him.

they are idiots who think national Socialism and Fascism are the same exact thing
>but is there more merit to the original Italian version of the ideology?
Yes, but modern politics (on the left and right) is all powered by identity bullshit and resentment, so no one is capable of truly appreciating the scope and profundity of their Nietzschean struggle.
However, most people here are ignorant of the fact that fascism never died, but simply moved to Argentina, and as such like to make stupid unfalsifiable claims about it's merits and drawbacks.

What do you mean by it moved to Argentina? I admit being ignorant on this matter, so I'm curious.
