Nice try but no, because history doesn't work in discrete little modules where Christianity levels up into humanism in the 17th century. Just because certain thinkers developed egalitarian philosophies based on Christian principles doesn't they owe Christianity some kind of debt

I'm not saying they owe Christianity a"debt" per se but I see many humanists and usually left leaning individuals acting as if Christians( and to an extent Judaism) are all evil shit lords who don't care abut humans. For example, conservative Christian stance on something like restricting pornography, gets shot down as "disingenuous" as if they don't really care about the dignity of women but just their own ideology. Don't get me wrong I don't give a shit whether it exists and certainly don't think anyone should be allowed to mandate their beliefs on everyone else. It just seems annoying when these left leaning theists or humanists shit on Christianity and true Judaism when many of their concepts of egalitarianism were only able to develop because of principles derived from those religions.

most modern egalitarians are part of groups that were historically oppressed while christianity looked on and did nothing

or even worse they're part of groups that were oppressed by christianity (women, gays, w/e)

I know that but idea of women ever being able to consider themselves equal to men came about because of Christianity. After all, women are also created in the image of God and thus have value. Any oppression towards women, or perceived double standards were usually due to corruption/ misuse of the word, especially in Christianity where Christ stressed loving your neighbor as yourself in a parable, neighbor being anyone/. See Gospel of Luke 10:25.
For Gays, the main thing is just they are seen as "sinning" and that such a marriage is unworthy to have since they will never produce kids. Technically couples who choose to not have any kids are shitty too since apparently every couple should "multiply." As with premarital sex. The bible makes clear that lust or relationships just for sex are bad in terms of both genders: i.e. objectification is bad.
The neighbor thing applies to gays too btw.

I'm just saying the concept that people can be judged as coming from the same God and not inherently inferior or have less potential because they are weaker(women) or poor was because of principles in Judeo-Christianity. Other wise such an idea could never develop via other religions in places such as ancient Greece, Rome, cast system India, China, Egypt, Mesopatamia etc.
