> IIT: Who is the based Economist?
And why is it Alexander Hamilton?
was a shitty duelist tho
>>1977558
What's his name, man?
>>1977558
is Hamilton really an economist?
>>1977558
His first name is Fredrick and his last name starts with E
>>1977776
are you just saying that because his reincarnation is the president-elect?
>>1980680
desu brilliant sociologist, fucked economist
>>1980792
Given contemporary understandings of economics his economics are actually flawless.
Of course since we've learned a lot and can now retroactively see how Marx, his contemporaries and his predecessors were wrong on many counts. But this is not to say they were bad economists any more than it's true to say Newton was a bad scientist because he lacked modern insights.
>>1980789
How do you figure he's the reincarnation, fâm?
How can you call based this bastard, orphan, son of a whore
>>1980826
populist -> populist
murderer -> rapist
viewed by the founders as an idiot -> by establishment as an idiot
racist accusations -> racist accusations
narcissist -> narcissist
campaign based on anger -> campaign based on anger
I don't think I'm the first person to make this comparison. do you agree?
>>1980842
Andrew Jackson wasn't the world's first demagogue.
>>1980817
ok, I actually agree with you, if you're speaking about his criticism of capitalism. I don't see how proposing communism makes his economics 'flawless' though
>>1980845
Marx's conclusion of communism's inevitability makes a lot of sense if you consider that in the 1800s the LTV was universally accepted orthodox economics.
>>1980201
Such a tragic beautiful man, definitely the Tesla of economics.
>>1980844
yes but there's something very Jacksonian about Trump's contempt for the entire political system, contempt for the elite and banks, policies that target immigrants and appeal as a 'self made man.'
they're both nationalists, economic populists, heroes to the masses, and general no-fucks-givers. this is their perception at least.
>>1980849
> 1800s the LTV was universally accepted orthodox economics.
Was it really? Even with all the classical liberals floating around?
>>1980867
Yes. As a matter of fact no less of a classical liberal economist than David Ricardo included it as fundamental to his economics.
>>1980849
socialism yes, communism no
>>1980858
>and appeal as a 'self made man.'
I'd pick the orphaned errand-runner turned general over the trust-fund-baby rentier any day.
>>1980867
The classical economists invented the LTV.
>>1980697
thats a weird way to spell Karl Marx
>>1980842
Are you that same guy from that other thread that tried to put trump on the same level as jackson by claiming they were both inexperienced and then getting BTFO with facts
Just stop dude
>>1981518
>Are you that same guy from that other thread that tried to put trump on the same level as jackson by claiming they were both inexperienced and then getting BTFO with facts
Is it still up on the archive? What keywords should I look up?
>>1977558
Creole bastard. Yes, it is an ad hominem, and therefore useless as an argument, but Hamilton was really a turd. Low born snob who tried to bound his way into Washington's good graces. He was a cryptomonarchist who got what he deserved for impugning incest to Burr.
God. I've read too much Vidal.
>>1980201
Hayek was decent but Austrian school is fucking retarded.
>>1981512
>>1980842
don't forget
made America great the first time -> will make America great again
Bonjour paysans.
Robert Lucas desu
DUDE HAMILTON LMAO I LOVE RAP DIVERSITY AND OBAMA
Keynes
Pure Capitalism or Socialism is unattainable and attempts towards either are doomed to failure.
