Chinese History is incredibly broad. As long as you're attending a university with people who teach and study Chinese History, you'll be good.

Chinese must be really difficult. I've heard that there are native speakers who don't know the all the ideograms and it takes a lifetime to master. I don't find this hard to believe seeing as there are adult Americans that don't master English, and English is far simpler.
