it's not a perfect circle bit certain patterns do exist, it's just foolish to try to predict the future when there are so many variations on those patterns, but you can always look back and see them. In 200 years someone will put the 21st century into a "pattern" that will make total sense to them. It's not some holy unbreakable law, but likewise political science has narrowed this down quite a bit to the point where parallels definitely exist even if there are obviously variables that make every situation unique in itself.

Someone told me the history of the celts and the hatred towards them. Supposedly the celts believed in cannibalism, eating the flesh of the enemy. When at war they would cover themselves in the blood of their enemy and their hair would turn red. Supposedly redheads to them was the sign of the martyr as these people were seen as a gift from the gods. And they were highly valued in their society. And the red head population grew amongst them. Later on the Mediterraneans would wear fez hats to make the tribes of the north remember their inhospitality. The northern tribes corrupted history and would accuse those whom wore fezes as muslims or sympathizers aiding them. The fez becoming a symbol for the blood of the christian martyrs.
