His regime was not spectacular.

He seized power on the pretext of purging commies, which he did, though Allende was finished by that point anyway. As the cold war came to a close he held a referendum and power was returned to civilian authorities peacefully to his credit.

Copper remained nationalized. The economic policies of the "chicago boys" helped Chile diversify the economy and made Chile more appealing to international finance, however they backtracked on these policies by later pegging the peso to the dollar resulting in a bubble and a financial crisis a few years later which interrupted otherwise decent growth from 1976 to 1988.

Chile is doing great compared to the other shitholes of the region. Economical reforms from Pinochet and Social reforms from the concertacion Made Chile great again.
