yes, but why?
what is there to gain?
it would take most of the west to do that, and everyone around russia has to sit still and let it happen
but why?
is like saying if all the world threw itself against the USA they could eventually overcome it, but why?
Would it be possible to successfully invade Russia now they have much more nuclear weapons?

How do they have much less habitable land
Global warming is making Siberia Great Again
Russia is going to overtake China and the U.S economically beacuse of it
>>1959287
There aren't enough russians crazy enough to settle Siberia en masse, sadly.
>>1959295
They won't need many people, only a few people to oversee machines to extract the massive formerly hidden oil reserves as well as make huge agricultural surpluses

Or start a war and get their ass kicked as usual except they'll actually be conquered by land without muh winter to protect them
It seems easier to invade from Central Asia. Besides land, there's nothing to gain; but it would be easier to fight a war of attrition over open territory than to invade densely populated areas. I'm positive if China wanted to claim Khabarovsk they would have no issues doing so.
The only caveat I can see is that the land itself. There's so much of it. Invaders would end up fighting a war of attrition against themselves, because most of the land isn't developed and useless. It would also be fairly incompetent to conquer a vast expanse of nothing. They also know the land better than you do. It would only be a matter of time before they fight over that piece of land. Even a blitzkrieg advance from the East would take many, many months before reaching even Novgorod.

How can they be conquered when they have a nuclear stockpile large enough to completely erode every Western European nation on top of the United States
>>1959310
Russian nukes are useless in warm weather.
>>1959260
>they have much less habitable land
They have more habitable land due to new technology allowing them to find more economic opportunities and bring in food.
Also Russian winters were the main obstacle to invasions of Russia in the past, also large continental regions are difficult to control and can hide many partisans and their supply lines, so arguably if Russia were less habitable that would make it more difficult to invade.
I think you are leaping to conclusions, nothing wrong with theorizing, but you need to accumulate more information from a wide variety of sources to gain a more realistic view of what the invasion of Russia will entail once Hillary is back on the saddle in 2020.
