>Civilizations in red collapsed so thoroughly that we only deciphered Hieroglyphs and Cuneiform recently, while we still can't decipher Indus Valley writing.
>Near East civilization became a dead end, and even if one considers he Persians to successors to Babylonians, they were still decimated by the foreign Islamic civilization afterward.
>Egyptian civilization collapsed completely and the area has been ruled by foreign civilizations ever since the Persian conquest of Egypt.
>Even India, who's arguably the better of of the three, was ruled by foreign powers for centuries and has only recently started to catch up with other great powers.
>Civilizations in yellow, despite many setbacks and crises, eventually became the pillars of the two most dominant civilizations in the world today (the West and its subdivisions, and the Sinosphere).

Were the West and the Far East more successful because of their positions in the periphery, despite the fact that older civilizations got a "head start" of a few centuries?

Sort of.

Everyone in the middle screwed each other or got screwed by cunts from the Steppes more than the West/Far East.

False, we still can't translate/decypher Linear A and Linear B was only decyphered recently
>>
>>1939144
>>Near East civilization became a dead end

literally what, Sumer is the origin of all European and Islamic civilization.
>>
>>1939144
>Near East civilization became a dead end
Look at the clock. Now think back on the stupid shit you said.
>>
Genetics
>>
>>1939155
Yes, but Linear B was only discovered recently and even from the beginning it was thought that it might have been used to write Greek. Only the fact that the original discovered refused to accept it was Greek delayed it decipherment a few decades.

Meanwhile, Hieroglyphs and Cuneiform were always available, and we have records of the same language written in Linear B just a few centuries later as soon as the Greeks developed a new writing system.

You do have a point with Linear A, though.

Is the Indus Valley civilization the origin of Chinese civilization because some some concepts and practices were adopted from them?
>>
>>1939195
>some concepts and practices
>time, math and astronomy
>Greco-Roman pantheon
>the entirety of the Book of Genesis is just Enuma Elish retold
>JHVH is based on a minor Mesopotamian deity

Hieroglyphs are much simplier form of literature than letters. Some troubles was in in 19 century, but computers can easy decode it.
Memes about "super-hard ancient codes" just covering absence of wide publications of full originals of Egypt and other artefacts.
>>
>>1939163
>>1939165
You are worse than the out of africa niggers
>>
>>1939223
Isn't the Greco-Roman pantheon derived from an older PIE pantheon?

>time, math and astronomy
Knowledge isn't the same as culture. There's nothing cultural about scientific laws, as primitive as the ones we're talking about are.

>counting Jewish stuff
In that case you might want to remember the role of Buddhism in the Sinosphere.
>>
>>1939232
>Humans didn't evolve in Africa
Go back to /pol/.
>>
>>1939226
It's not about difficulty, it's about lost knowledge. Computers wouldn't be able to decode shit if we hadn't been able to decode it already, and we were only able to decode it thanks to ancient translations.
>>
>>1939260
I mean exactly recovering of information without any primal keys. Every symbol means some word or group of words.
Input collection of related ancients textes and start enumeration of possibilities. Rules arent so hard - some sets of verbs, nouns, etc. Just need to pusblish all originals in Internet.
But there no enthusiasm. Only translated scraps and shouts "its so difficulte, ANCIENT LANGUAGE".
>>
>>1939255
>his scientific theory is that bad.
Go back to preschool
>>
>>1939313
>without primal keys
That's surprising. But that doesn't change the point that it was impossible to decipher without computers until we had enough information, which speaks volumes about the amount of information lost from Egyptian civilization.

Are these methods being used for Indus Valley script?

>>1939319
I thought /pol/ prided itself on being "rational". You're just shitposting.
>>
The world was colder when the first civilization came to be, just coming out of ice age. Mammoths in Russia during the pyramids and all that.

As things heated up, tropical diseases spread north and weakened the empires of the first civs.

Both China and Greece are higher up north and were shielded from tropical diseases that made the first empires weak

Just a theory
>>
>>1939148
>Everyone in the middle screwed each other or got screwed by cunts from the Steppes more than the West/Far East.
China was also screwed by the Steppes
>>
You fucking retard, Persian civilization wasn't decimated by "the "foreign" islamic civilization", it became the cornerstone of Islamic Civilization. And Persianate Civilization specifically went on to rule everything from Anatolia to India.

Not in the same level as the Middle East was.

China
>Mongol Invasion & Yuan.
>Nanbeichao Period Turkics.
>Jurchen Invasion & Jin Dynasty
>Manchus to some extent
And that was it. The rest were meme raids and halted invasion.

The Middle East on the other hand.
>900s-1500s give or take.
>All those innumerable fucking Khanates/Beyliks/Sultanates and Persianate Empires ruled by a dynasty with an -id suffix.

Except Islamic civilization was entirely built by the Persians and the successors of the Babylonians in Iraq and Iran.

I have found, but there no details.
Ideal site about Egypt:

>Nanbeichao Period Turkics.
Probably representative of proto Mongolics rather than proto Turkics.

Many of the Wuhu were already settled within Western Jin borders for generations and used the "Han" literati as administrators.

>Jurchen Invasion & Jin Dynasty
>Manchus to some extent
Neither are representative of steppe polities.
>>
>>1939445
The Jurchen was a Steppenigger invasion. And Jin was a conquest dynasty.

Also note "to some extent" on the Manchus. They were more or less a Non-Chinese Chinese minority during the Ming who revolted, declared independence, and went back to invade China when the Ming fell.
>>
>>1939251

So it's wrong to say Sumer is the origin of Western civilization because knowledge doesn't count? Are you retarded?

>other Sumerian contributions
>domestication of animals
>the wheel
>the code of laws
>writing

>counting Jewish stuff

Yes, Judaism is also derived from primarily Sumerian sources (albeit with a strong Egyptian influence)
>>
>>1939461
>Jurchen was a Steppenigger invasion
Jurchens like other Southern Tungusics are agriculturalists with some favoring fishing/hunting.

>Also note "to some extent" on the Manchus.
Manchus were never nomadic pastoralists.

The Qing was even more Sinicized than the typical conquering force both in their military(majority of Bannermen were Han) and administration.
>>
>>1939395
Even then, there's two degrees of separation from Near East civilizations -> Persian civilizations -> Islamic civilizations, to say nothing of the gradual evolution within each of these steps.

Compare with the streamlined Chinese path, and the less rocky Greek civilization + Hellenized Judaism = Western civilization.
>>
>>1939501
Why are there any degrees of separation? It doesn't seem any different from that of Western civilization and Classical Greek. Islamic civilization is Islamized Persian and Babylonian civilization.
>>
>>1939144
>they were still decimated by the foreign Islamic civilization afterward.

Some of the greatest Persian empires were Muslim, not to mention the expansive cultural influence that Persia had on several non-persian empires, some notable examples being the Ottoman Empire and the Mughals

this, the Steppe nomads went Holocaust tier on Middle Eastern and Central Asian civilization to the point they've never really fully recovered. Baghdad or Herat being excellent examples that weren't outright abandoned
