Hypothetically speaking, what would happen if Manstein and Guderian never did a revision of Fall Gelb, which allowed the panzers to break through Ardennes? Would the Germans get stuck in Belgium like in the previous war? Note that the OKW was initially against revision of plan, seeing it as madness.
Sometimes i get the notion that the Western campaign succeeded only because the panzers somehow miraculously got through Ardennes.
