I've noticed that modern depictions of King George III tend to portray him as dimwitted and out-of-touch. Why is this? Didn't he defeat Napoleon?

>Didn't he defeat Napoleon?
Lmao
1.Britain played a minot role in Napoleon's defeat
2. The King barely had any power left in Britain at that time

the king suffered periodically from the hereditary metabolic disease called porphyria, though not until he had already been on the throne for more than a quarter of a century.

I mean, just fucking look at him.
He wasn't stupid. There was something physically wrong with him. I can't remember what exactly but it stayed with him for most of his life. In his moments of clarity he was hard-working and seen as quite diligent.

>falling for the bait this hard
Frogs cannae help themselves

He looks like a classy geezer.

>Why is this?
Because he lost the colonies. He was actually well regarded in his day.

Colonists thought he was retarded, though. And that was when they were still colonists.
