I think iv'e fallen in love with this sword.

If you're into this I'll assume that you're aware of Wulfheodenas? Went to see them when they visited here last spring. They make replicas of the stuff found from the period using accurate methods and such, I suppose most of the pics itt might lead to them.

When people think of pre medieval Scandinavia it's always vikings, but these guys where pulling basically the same routine for some 250 years prior, and in much swankier armor. The elaborate, swirly animal designs often seen actually could be traces of a time before the peoples of northern and western Europe divided into what would become Celts and proto Germans
