>Longbow
This assumes that there is a "normal-bow" in use in Europe that is not a long bow.
What were these bows called?

A "bow".

No idea, but longbows were the major bow for war in all germanic cultures as far back as at least 2nd century AD.
I guess there were smaller hunting bows for hunting game that the reaaaally poor would bring.

Longbow is one of those bullshit Victorian terms that noone in the middle ages actually used.
They differentiated between warbows and just bows. With war bows presumably being stronger or different in some way.

What were they called? From size order, smallest to largest:
>Kidbow
>Smallbow
>Mediumbow
>Largebow
>Extralargebow
>Extraextralargebow
And the varient:
>Bow-with-shake

BAN ASSAULT BOWS

Self-bows. Basically the term means any bow whose bowstave was carved out of a single piece of wood. Incidentally the Longbow is a Self-bow. But not all self-bows are longbows.
But this shit was mostly for hunting. It was weak. Most Eurobenises use either crossbows or composite bows that have been the mainstay of European battlefield archery since the fucking Romans. Though the crossbow eclipsed it.

BAN ASSAULT BOWS AND HIGH CAP QUIVERS

Already done in Australia. Crossbows are banned.
