Archimedes, Leonardo, Newton and Tesla were all kind of fucked in the head. It's more likely that modern day super geniuses are so rare because autistic shut-ins can't get forward in life.

example... economy, laws, rules of business/company, politically correct /social contracts', etc... all systems that can be logically acknowledge as they have a system of rules by which they operate and it induces a stoic cognitive dissonance among the people. Best example is kids who where home schooled against kids that went to public school.

Our ancestors had less of a "known world" being presented constantly, so it was probably easier to achieve original thought.
