Is there a connection as to why most of the Nazi high command

if i remember correctly most of the high command were Prussians

The areas that didn't vote for the Nazi Party still voted for a minor party that backed them anyway (think CSU and their backing of CDU), so this map isn't very useful.

Only due to the National Socialists boasting of themselves that they were the sole party in Germany that could rally behind them enough votes to counter communist parties. That was more per compromise than by meeting on the same ideals and intentions.

Hitler hid from few that he reviled Prussian nobility, on whom he heaved the blame for the defeat of 1918, and Prussian aristocrats too summated Hitler as being a populist bufoon (but who they liked more than communists). What's more: more than anyone, it was Prussian aristocrats that conspired against Hitler come 1943.

Protestant work ethic is more individualist in its origin, so it's hard to say, I think. Individual as in the individual (German) nation amongst its neighbours, yes - that could be an applicable reason. But national goes beyond individual, it incorporates the nation of individuals. So it's hard to say. Perhaps someone else can weigh in here?
