Why did it take so short for China to exit the warring states period and reunite, while it's taking centuries for Europe?
>>
oh look at that, historical map with bosnia actually drawn in, what a nice surprise, it's usually not the case

The only it took centuries were Germans.

Millions upon millions had to die. I do mean absolute millions, and they were used to a compliant state of mind to an emperor. Once the angry people got fucked over in the war, the rest were just left to say "hey, new leader!"
>>
>>1855408
>Europe unite
That will never happen, if you think the EU is gonna last forever then thank god the West European retards are letting muslims outbreed them so we can escape their dictatorship incognito.

Take a guess

fuck off you dumb right winger

Because it would cost a lot more lives than if the wars were still pragmatic bilateral thing. China never care about human life.

EU can slap bullshit sanctions on you if you dont do what they say, all of these unions are just ways for the country that made them up to rule you.

Because Europe is multicultural, while han Chinese culture is largely monolithic. You can take a person from Beijing, a person from Xi'an, and a person from Guangzhou, and if you ask them what they are, they'll all say they're Chinese. While a Briton will say he's British, a German will say he's German, an Italian will say he's Italian... etcetera. There is no monolithic "European" culture, it's just a term used to describe all the different cultures present in Europe.

Cultural unity is vital to the unification of states into an Empire. Different empires treat this differently - China attempts to both absorb other cultures and "sinicize" them, while also cracking down harshly on minorities and suppressing separatist movements. Russia also cracks down on ethnic and cultural minorities to keep its empire intact. America takes a different approach and instead seeks to integrate all cultures into a greater "American" identity. Most importantly, all these countries have a standard language they use.

Meanwhile, the EU does no such things. They don't attempt to culturally integrate anyone. There's no standard language - English is the de facto lingua franca but that's just by chance. There's no attempt to meld cultures together, rather they're celebrated separately.

I think some globalists have attempted integration by encouraging migrations in the EU and displacing populations, but it hasn't worked. Europe is culturally very fragmented. This is why it will never leave its "warring states" period, as you've put it. The individual nations of Europe are really just cultural unions, and until Europe has a unified culture, or at least some kind of overarching identity that can transcend national boundaries, it won't truly unify.

Utah is independent in that image, they even annexed parts of greater Deseret. They're not in the infobox though for some reason.

Look at the geographical barriers between Vietnam, Japan or Korea and the core of China.

Now look at the barriers between the Iberian peninsula, the British Isles, Scandinavia, the Italian peninsula, Mucovy, Greece or the Balkans and the core of Europe.

Northern France, Flanders, Denmark and northern Germany were very productive regions, though other regions were also powerful in their own right. They could defend themselves, they could intervene in wars in the core of Europe like the 30 years war, they became separate political entities.

Bloody hell
>Europe is a continent
>>
>>1855408
Europe is far different from China.

Sometimes I seriously doubt any meaningful "European unity" exist at all. In the same vein "pan-African unity" is a purely geographic concept.

The closes we ever got to a pan European empire was Rome, and that would be more accurately described as a pan-Mediterranean empire over a pan European empire.

There's many examples in history.
If the Habsburgs have kept their domain united and crushed France, we could have had some sort of united West European Empire.
>>
>>1855408

>reunite

It never was united. The closer it got was the Roman Empire, and it was just less than half of it.

However, there has always been a historical trend towards unification of some sorts, as seen in the Carolingian Empire, Charles V Empire and French Empire. The first disgregated due to political conflicts, the other two due to political conflicts as well + the Eternal Anglo using the eternal divide and conquer then cuck everyone tactics

>while han Chinese culture is largely monolithic.
M8, this is a map of the Warring States.

These people were pretty diverse. Some even belonging to other races. They were exactly like Europe in a sense that they all shared a similar, main stream of culture-n Proto-China's cased, called "Huaxia"- similar to "Hellenic" or "Christian Europe (in the Medieval sense)" but each state had different variations of culture. There wasn't even one language. Sure you can argue for their initial unity under the Zhou Kings, but all those fuckers did was create an empire by marrying off their family members to the royal clans of their component states & tribes.

It really took the entire horrific bloodshed of the Warring States for many political thinkers to converge on the idea that "one country is better than all this fucking mess."
>>
China has population of 1.3 billion united under one flag. Europe has 400 million under many different flags. Hasn't the history of Europe since the fall of the Roman Empire been Europe's Warring States period?
>>
>>1857842
>while han Chinese culture is largely monolithic.
It really isn't. Maybe less heterogeneous than Europe but there is a huge difference between the regions of China. So much that they're borderline unrecognisable. The Chinese language is about as varied as the entire Latin family of languages, they just call it one language for political reasons.

>While a Briton will say he's British, a German will say he's German, an Italian will say he's Italian... etcetera.
You're describing a symptom, not a cause.

The main reason Europe isn't united is because the Roman Empire fell. That's literally it.
>>
>>1857842

>While a Briton will say he's British

Bullshit. Scottish and Welsh people will almost 100% of the time will call themselves Scottish and Welsh before they call themselves British. People from England or Ulster are more likely to identify as British first, but there's a rising trend of even people in those countries identifying as being from their home countries.

Meme.

Written Chinese is very similar across China.
Chinese is a family of related spoken languages. The reason this meme is perptuated is because idiots like you don't differentiate written and spoken language.
>>
>>1859483
And? How is this an argument?

"Continent" wasn't even a concept until the 1500's. How could this concept affect how people interact before it was even a concept??

More like the natives switched their identity during the Tang.

Most Han migrants fled to preexisting population centers(Sichuan/Hubei/Jiangsu).

It's not an alphabet so that's completely meaningless. It does nothing to reflect the actual spoken language.
