fascism transcends economic fundamentalism and can be capitalist or socialist or a mix of both. the economy isn't really considered important beyond it's local and pragmatic importance.

You do know the Nazi party was rather pro-labour, don't you? Not quite as socialist as Russia, the government didn't strictly take over the means of production entirely, but were more than critical of unregulated free market and banking institutions. It's the idea that an economic policy must adhere to a certain social policy that you need to adjust.

When he was overthrown the country got split in between the pro elite/american part of the government and military ,Perons aides and infiltrated communists which no one was aware because everyone was fucking stupid. People have always inclined to the left since the right has always fucked them over, imagine USA without teddy Roosevelt. Peron was kinda like Roosevelt.

When the coup happened the population essentially polarized between Peronism and the faction of the army which was rulling. Almost the entirety of the left which also had socialists, communists anarchist joined peronism since it was the only group that had enough public support turning the country essentially into a 2 party system. When he was exiled the cancer took over the movement and used it to their own political benefits. When Peron came back he had no power and told them to fuck themselves which triggered a pseudo "civil war" between the guerrilla groups. In fact during the last dictatorship in the 1976.

Peron himself had always talked shit against the oligarchy the patrician families and all that and he was right since they were always close to foreign interests specially British. Albeit not all of them were but really hated populism and the anti intellectual message he was promoting which was his biggest mistake.
