I'm looking for recommendations on books regarding Roman Hellenistic religion (particularly in regards to Sol Invictus and the 'Imperial Cult'), mystery religions (particularly Mithraism) and Neoplatonism.
I'm not so much interested in the history of the above beliefs in the empire.
I'm more looking for specific details on theology.

I'm interested in this too.
A tripfag called Ape of Thoth is probably the best person to ask for this, but he usually posts on /x/.

Damn.
I was hoping that someone other then an /x/-tard would be knowledgeable on this subject.
Surly reputable books on the theology and practices of the religions outlined in the OP are not so niche.

I was always under the impression that sold invictus came out of the East and relaticely late like Christianity.

That could be nice books. May as well throw in requests for Zoroastraism and other pre-islamic religions in the near East. Since we have a book recommendation I would like to ask for nice introduction books on eastern religion. Must cover taosim, confucianism, and budhims.
