But if you want a brief intro, try two novels

The Way of a Pilgrim, a novel written by a monk about an ascetic wanderer

And Laurus, a novel about a man who falls into fornication, causing tragic consequences, and then turns to holiness.

Both will give you a decent introduction to how very different the mindset of Orthodoxy is from modern Christianity.
