Only his impartial love doctrine is flawed, as shown by Mencius. It's okay for love to be unconditional, but indiscriminate love is nonsensical. Is society in harmony when one loves a bandit as much as the emperor, or a stranger as much as your own father? Mozi's hatred for beauty is averse for cultivation. Animals can live with food and shelter, but man must pursue the arts to truly live.
