And it's true I only have anecdotal evidence, but it is pretty extensive; not all of them turned out the same way, but the decent ones seemed to be decent in spite of it. Which is funny, because even something as basic as how women entered the workforce started before the industrial revolution, continued into the industrial revolution, and suddenly inventions had stolen what could be a society role.
This combined with the fun horrors of WW2, regulation of schools, and slave labor getting into weird positions due work unions.
Women entering the workforce as equals was inevitable, for no reason other than society eating their position without expecting them to deal with it.
