I'm hoping it's possible to have this thread without it devolving into /pol/ tier shitposting, but that's probably unrealistic.
Anyway, do you guys think fascism as a political system would have survived through the end of the 20th century if Hitler hadn't even risen to power? Franco was more or less fascist and he made it into the 70's, I'm curious whether you guys think Mussolini would have if he hadn't gotten dragged into a war against France and England. I feel like he would've been a bit less likely to overstep his bounds and provoke a full scale war, but maybe I'm wrong about that.
If this thread ends up just being people yelling at each other about Hitler doing nothing wrong or muh six gorrillion, mods please delete it.

>if Hitler hadn't even risen to power?
No
>if Stalin hadn't even risen to power?
Yes.
Fascism works when people want it to. The people who didn't like it fled Germany, and thus the country prospered.
> do you guys think fascism as a political system would have survived through the end of the 20th century
- one party state
- social indoctrination
- mass propaganda
- militarism
- gearing up the state for war and national conquest
nah

Without a war with a great power Fascist Italy could have survived for a few decades, at least until Mussolini died. Then the resulting power struggle would have helped destroy the regime.

It has in Argentina. I'm sure some psychoanalysts would argue the same for Israel.
What the fuck is Horthy doing there you uneducated retard
>>1811931
Peronism wasn´t fascism at all, it only had a few fascist elements
>>1811991
Yeah you are more uneducated retard than I thought, he wasn't even a totalitarian, he had less power than any other monarch in Europe at that time in a a country with a working parliamentary system until the German occupation in 44. Next time try not to learn history from playing video games, same goes for 90% of this shitty board.

Why are you so angry? I genuinely don't understand why you're so upset by a simple mis-categorization.
