Shame the jews Commercialised it but it is the all round best winter holiday. Actually annual holiday.

1. It's fine, any event that emphasizes good will towards others if fine in my book, be it religious or not.

2. the commercialization of it gets annoying seeing Christmas-themed TV ads and music everywhere, but it's still harmless.

as for economic, I get an extra 2 week's pay as a Christmas bonus every year, so that's fine by me, and nice that companies still do practice that.

1) I'm an atheist, so irrelevant to me personally. My understanding is the religious aspects were kind of tacked on to begin with, as Christians tried to co-opt rather than suppress an older tradition.
2) I like it! It's a holiday about being nice to each other, generosity, and togetherness. Plus the traditions are fun. What's not to like? I also don't find anything objectionable about "commercialization."

Short answer: Jews.

Longer answer: Easter is the more important holiday from a religious perspective, and the mass is much more significant. What happened was the gift giving became a meme and was commercialized out the ass, for both holidays really, which is why people think more of chocolate rabbits instead of the resurrection.
