The thing you have to understand about Fascism is that it is inherently anti-doctrine. Fascism can only truly exist in a time of great uncertainty general bitterness towards the status-quo.

In Italy the bitterness was towards the status-quo of both the Liberals and the Conservatives, whilst the only alternative at the time, the Socialists, were perceived as weak and generally anti-Italian at a time were sentiments were highly nationalistic.

As Mussolini says, cited in Dennis Mack Smith's book "MUSSOLINI", the main goal of Fascism is to achieve power and then use experimental tactics and public participation to achieve goals.

This is why much of his ideology is incredibly contradicting and often at odds with what he said earlier.

For instance, the greatest example of this, Mussolini's position on women changed drastically throughout his early years as both a journalist and a politician and really changed depending on who he was writing or talking to.

On one hand, to placate Conservatives, he called for all women to be the "pillar of society" and stay at home and raise Italian Children.

On the other, to Socialists and Liberals, you'd often find Mussolini advocate for women to be fully integrated into the work force because "Fascism does not want weak women who stay at home".

So whilst there is a veneer of coherent ideology, from my studies you'll find that much of it is highly fluid and ever-changing depending on what yielded Mussolini the best results.

Well that's simply because it was not a nation. It was just that, a geographic location. The people did have similar languages with varying degrees of intelligibility, they had vastly different cultures and histories, their political structures were completely different and their economies were so far removed from each other.

Pretty much the only cohesion was the Church. Garibaldi & co attempted to change this but in the end went "Nah, fuck it. You can deal with it." Then handed it over to a king.

There were no "mass rapes" and evidence shows there was no genetic change you retard. Southern Italy was never conquered by muslims. It was conquered by Normans and Lombards though, so by your logic they would all be blonde Nordic aryans.

In reality though, northern Italians have some more Celtic-Germanic influences and southern Italians have some more Greco-Roman influences. To a lesser extent both also more likely to have the related genetics, but they're more similar than they are different.

Arabs aren't even a factor.
