There is no such thing as a "national" armor since Knights bought their own shit and that could be locally made or imports ordered from craftsmen in far-away lands.

Crusaders even wore bits of middle eastern armor.

They wore whatever they could afford/scavenge. And often times the armor was "outdated" because the cost of commissioning a new suit of armor is as expensive as buying a fancy sports car today.
