The religion of peace conquered those lands through centuries of peaceful warfare. They killed many infidels for the glory of Allah. Peacefully of course.

They were all important cities for Christianity and more generally the Roman Empire. They all produced notable Church Fathers.

Rome because it was the capital of the empire and St. Peter was martyred there. It's especially important to Western Christians. The See was founded by St. Peter.

Constantinople because it became the new capital. This see was founded by St. Andrew.

Antioch was where Christians first came to be called Christians. It was an important early centre for the Church. It was also founded by St. Peter.

Jerusalem because it was the site of Christ's death and resurrection among many other biblical events. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre, shared between Eastern Orthodox, Catholics, and the Oriental Orthodox is located here. The See of Jerusalem was founded by St. James the Just.

Alexandria was also an early centre for Christianity. It produced a lot of important writings, including the Septuagint translation of the Bible. The Desert Fathers and Mothers also lived in Egypt. The See was founded by St. Mark the Evangelist.

>patriarchate of x
Actually the Christians control all of those. Patriarchate is an office, it doesn't have a fixed location despite the name(s). What you are posting are the traditional locations of said patriarchates that were first lost to the Sassanids and then after a brief reconquest to the Arabs.

However during and after the conquest, the office still functioned

Unless Catholic or Eastern Orthodox, most Christians couldn't care less who owns any particular "holy" site.
