Is Anthony Beevor a good author? I'm reading pic related at the moment and I'm thinking about picking up his Stalingrad book
Beevor is OK.
David Glantz is better.

He seems like a great author. Currently reading his book, Berlin 1945, and it's pretty great.

Are you enjoying what he writes? Then he's a good author FOR YOU, dipshit. Why do you need external validation on this?

His Stalingrad book is his best imo

We aren't discussing novels of fiction here, we're discussing books supposedly based on historical fact.
Just because OP likes it doesn't mean that the author did well at his job in re-telling a part of history.
He doesn't need external validation, he chose to seek it out in order to save himself the time it would take to read one of Beevor's books.
