Memorized this in my Freshman year in high school and recited it in front of class (everyone had to do it). I've totally forgotten all but a few snippets scattered throughout. Why would you chalk historical knowledge up to a 9th grade English assignment?

Well I must admit, I'm also from the South and we don't talk about Lincoln or his address too much. Actually we talk about it quite little.

And I live in Louisiana. So... He probably lives in the South as well.

took me a while, only had 3:20 left, but got it. I memorized a slightly different version, I think. We said "that this nature might endure" instead of live, etc, and I was stuck guessing at synonyms at some parts.
