>always loved history
>fell for stupid "history is shit tier" meme. Pic related
>not interested and too stupid to study in STEM field
>chose to learn some blue color well paid profession instead of studying history
>realized that i made mistake and that im not going be happy either with this plebian tier profession and that i still want study history
Why history/archeology studies are so underrated (or just humanitarian in general)? It is because u do not create any products not like in STEM field? Because they are seen as easy study subjects ?is some mathematical or physics subjects are more serious and important than history subjects like holodomor or imperialism for example?
How many of actually study history?

History is easy. Everyone can read some books and remember and understand some shit but not everyone are smart enough to learn programming.

History is considered shit tier because people like this exist. I agree that programming (as well as the rest of STEM) is more technically difficult than humanities. No one is arguing University level mathematics is easier than reading a history book, but history is so much more than that. Chronology is to history as addition is to physics. Important, but it's such a small part.
History is about critical analysis, psychology, sociology, philosophy, histiography and a LOT of understanding how system analysis works.
You're not going to study history and go work in a networking company and make $90k out of collage, but if it's your passion study, enjoy, and learn.
Any idiot can get a history degree, thus it isnt very respected. doesnt mean it iant important

I guess not like history u can use it for practical reasons? Like to find place to mine oil, diamonds, water or for good place to build house
Not majoring in economics and minoring in history. DESU senpai I just want to make as much money as I can in my 20s and afterwards enjoy a comfy position as a professor at a comfy university.

This is why actually capable military historians can be counted on your hands' fingers but there are plenty of engineers.
Plus, seeing how people know history I doubt it is so easy.
Secondly, it's all question of attitude: programming requires undeniably great skills but it doesn't require any particular talent (neither does history), "just" will to study and resources.

What STEM are you doing OP?
I'm the other way around - I did a humanities degree but I badly wish I had done STEM (it was always my preferred subject area at school). I literally only did humanities because I thought it was "cool" and I hated being a "nerd" and I wanted friends and girls. Not even joking.

>mathematics is easy. Everyone can read some books and remember and understand different formulas and ways of calculating things
(I know mathematics are way harder than history but the argument you made just made no sense because it all boils down to remembering formulas in mathematics too)
