He was one of KAIZAR's Tiger Generals (Admirals?) and his absence was often felt when things went badly ("if only we had one more military genius!"), maybe you should actually try watching it with your eyes open since they spell it out for you. Pretty sure they even claimed he was the only one who could match Yang.
Occasionally he was also missed because of the positive influence he had on Reinhardt's personality and for being a pretty reasonable guy overall.
