Let's face it, without spooks, history would be a lot more boring
Pretty much every interesting historical figure was haunted by spooks one way or another
"Great" Men often reject the spooks of their contemporaries and pursue their own will. It is only in retrospect, when their actions inspire new spooks in other people, that we retroactively assume they must have been haunted by the spooks they created.
