I found that Mayans lasted as a civilization well in the 17th century(the last city fell around 1697)
Since thats well over 100 years since their contact with the Spanish; did the Mayans ever use muskets and metal bladed swords that they may have picked up/traded from the Spanish? In the same way as the Native Americas in North America?
The Maya empire collapsed before the Spanish even arrived.
