Is there a country that has done less than San Marino?
Absolutely tiny nation that gained independence from the Roman Empire in 301 (as a republic, no less), then nothing happened for the next 1715 years, except when Napoleon visited and was convinced to not invade them, because, what was the point. According to wiki, he even offered to expand their territory, but
>the offer was declined by the Regent who declared that the Republic "was content in its mediocrity and feared that accepting this generous offer to increase its territory might compromise its liberty at some point in the future"

San Marino (like many microstates) is a center of banking, at least.
It's also a pretty little town on a nice hill.

I think you are being generous when you say that we "won".

Hey, at least Latvia wasn't German nor Soviet for at least 20 years

Not for 20 years maybe, but still.
Even the Lithuanians put up a fight against the soviets. We just rolled over and took it.

You're making this difficult, I'm just trying to cheer you up
