What would happen if tiny percent of population had genetic mutation causing lack of aging past their 20s. How would the general population act towards them in times we knew nothing about genetics?

Would they be revered as demigods or killed from extreme jealousy?
>>
Probably ground up into aphrodisiacs
>>
Probably burned alive for witchcraft or tortured to death by jealous folks who want to know the secrets to immortality
>>
>>1526784
But it would be tricky finding them - they could lie about their age and the ones with prominent positions wouldn't give a fuck.
>>

Aging is caused mostly by diet according to doctor Kris Verburgh from Belgium.

If it happened "spontaneous" in an existing society, the reactions could go from reverence to hate, hard to say.
If these mutations always existed the "ageless" would most likely have special place in society, akin to the traditional "wise men" and elders, only in a more active capacity...
>>
If i ever write a novel something like this would be the plot.

I suspect they'd either be revered as Gods or killed as witches, depending on the specifics of the culture.

Thing is it would be hard to actually notice, if people on average die at 40-60 and you look 20 it would be odd but you could blame some bullshit thing you do and then they die and you just hang out with more 20 year olds and say you're 20.

most retarded post on /his/

congratulations!

Aging is caused by cell cloning going wrong. It's like photocopying an image 100 times, the 100th one will be shit.

Things that increase aging is sunlight, poor diet, a hard life, stress, smoking, being gay.

>revered as Gods
It's hard to elevate someone to divinity if a simple flu can still kill them.
>>

Whatever man, enjoy your cancer.
>>

Yea, which is why you want to eat in a way that forces hormesis. We are not machines.
Though if I remember correctly on that book on aging by doctor Verburgh we cannot reverse the damage that happens with mitochondria.
>>
>>1526943
We are biological machines.

We do somewhat, it's called female hormones.

Women who take HRT after menopause keep their youth 9 times out of 10 but most doctors will not let them because of breast cancer.

The drawback is males would have to chemically castrate themselves and change their hormonal balance, grow tits and essentially become androgyne/eunuchs and its dangerous to do so after a certain age (like 30 or so). Anyways men taking them end up looking years younger and living as much as 20 to 30 years longer while looking years younger and keeping that look for a long time.

Natural born eunuchs in ancient times were revered for their youth and likely often used sexually for their beauty.

Watch this movie, literally the best movie I have ever seen.

Cheesy as fuck in acting and some of the philosophy, but very fucking interesting.

John Oldman is an immortal being who is about to move on from his life but for the first time tells his university colleagues about his life and tries to convince them.

Takes place in one room and is mainly conversation.

Isn't that the movie where he admits to being Jesus and the whole movie devolves into stupid religious bullshit?
>>
>>1528823
>Jesus
Yes

>whole movie devolves into stupid religious bullshit?
No. Literally one segment, of course that's the part you would latch onto.
