It still doesn't explain the problem of the Sinai event. Yes, it's in the Bible that the Jews were polytheists, but the Sinai event is the part where they became Monotheists. Judaism comes from Moses and by that time, at least according to the Bible the theology doesn't change much.

The events of exodus most likely never happened, the Jews were never enslaved in Egypt, Moses probably never existed, the events at Sinai most likely never happened.

Also by his logic since Jesus' ressurection and Ascension were allegedly witnessed by multiple parties, it must've happened because there's no way groups of people would coherently lie about something.

He doesn't factor in the hypothesis that since these events were written down decades (in the case of Jesus) to hundreds of years (Torah) after they happened, maybe later writers embellished the stories (or even invented them) to legitimize their claims.
