Well, what do you qualify as an animalistic urge? Eating? Sleeping? Sexual intercourse? Defecation? War? Humans need to do all of those things, they're inseparable from human psychology. I have a feeling you're a furryposter so if this is a chimpanzee/bonobo dichotomy about patriarchy and war vs matriarchy and FREE LOVE DUDE I'm going to have to stop you right there, because there's a reason why chimpanzees are literally waging genocide on their cousins.
The obvious trajectory of history is the elevation ofof the uniquely human cognitive ability (symbol-making, language-forming, tool-using) into such an ability that is superior to its predecessors. Embracing "animal instincts" isn't very effective at approaching that, and will lead to you becoming summarily BTFO by more repressed, cold-hearted people.
